From a mining village on the outskirts of Sheffield , B.A. was a product of the 60s . His mum was a singer in a band and his 2 sisters were constantly playing 60s & 70s music so his musical education started early . Taking up acoustic guitar at primary school , he progressed onto bass guitar , early synthesisers and drum machines at secondary school . Forming his first rock band his first gig was at Rotherham Arts Centre . This came to a swift end when he fell off his motorbike and smashed his Gibson SG bass guitar which was on his back . A hiatus followed while B.A. pursued a military career , got married , had two wonderful kids , sadly divorced and was retired due to injury. He took up guitar again to teach his son who had started learning at school . This led to him regularly supporting an ‘open mic night’ at a pub in Lancashire playing bass guitar again . He met Deano there in 2008 and they formed the first line-up of The DEAL . B.A. is now a full-time musician , photographer and biker .
